- Casting Adhesive is the go-to fix for iron & steel casting defects, from sand holes, pores & cracks.
- Ideal for tough repairs like fuel tanks, plumbing & concrete.
Features:
- Cold Weld compound eliminates welding and brazing.
- Can be tapped, drilled, machined, sanded or filed.
- Full cure in 24 hours, can be polished and paintable.
- Resistant to petrol, diesel, oil, hyd oil, water and anti-freeze.
- Resists most chemicals including gasoline, diesel fuel, water, motor oils, transmission fluids, hydraulic fluids and anti-freeze
Directions:
- Surface must be clean,dry and free from grease,oil and dirt
- For best results,roughen surface to be Pro Welded with sandpaper or file.Note:some sandpapers leave an oily residue.repeat step #1
- Squeeze out equal amounts from each tube onto a disposable surface such as a piece of cardboard.Mix thoroughly together until a uniform gray color is achieved.Mix only what you can use immediately
- Apply Pro Weld to surface to be repaired.The mixture will become hot while it sets.
- Develops 80% bond strength in 12 hours with full cure after 24 hours Final bond withstands temperatures up to 1500°C - cures to an iron-like hardness with a strong, uniform bond
- If temperatures is below 5C°,development times may be lengthened
- Clean up excess material before it dries with a towel or rag dampened with paint thinner
- When compound is full cured,it can be drilled,filed,machined and tapped
