Completely remove the bolt on the spline hole on the end
Shaft on motorcycle need to be inspected to ensure thread is not damaged and cleaned
Ensure the spline shaft on bike is not BENT. Otherwise that may cause the lever to contact with engine case
Replacement steel gear lever Depending on your make model and year you may need to adjust the bend angle to suit your cases Spline size is correct but bent angle may differ Angle can be bent with a pair of shifter spanners
